Cancun is nowadays a top international golf destination. Cancun resorts offer all kind of amenities for golf enthusiasts to enjoy more than a dozen courses open in its golf circuit.

All the famous designers have left their distinctive marks in Cancun. There's a Jack Nicklaus Signature course at the Moon Palace, while other Nicklaus division named the Mayan Palace and the Cozumel Country Club. Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed the Cancun Golf Club's Pok ta Pok, The Gran Melia Cancun, The Golf Club at Playacar and Puerto Aventuras all have excellent courses. The hotel Iberostar has a P.B. Dye course, El Camaleon at Mayakoba inaugurated with a PGA Tournament, Greg Norman designed Playa Mujeres course and La Roca was designed by Tom Fanzio and Nick Price.

The geniuses gave their special touch to curves, fairways and greens to blend the rich natural environment with modern design. Cancun has exuberant jungle vistas and turquoise-blue seascapes filled with regional wildlife: iguanas, macaws and waterfowls. The Mayan Culture is also present at some golf courses, built near remains of this mysterious civilization.
